Taylor Hicks: Indiscriminate Act of Kindness

"Indiscriminate Act of Kindness" is the bonus track on Taylor Hicks CD "The Distance" if you buy it at Target. I wish it were on every CD because it's powerful, it's the kind of song a serious musician produces. What moves me more than the lyrics is the mournful sound he creates with his voice. I would have felt something even if he were singing in a foreign language.

Standing ovation, dude.

  1. Well it is very moving and his voice is passionate but IMO opinion the song is weird. I have to listen to it a few more times.

  4. Okay, I get it now. My mistake was trying to hear it at work. Once I got home and pumped up the speakers and REALLY heard it-- wow. Incredible. Heart wrenching.

  5. This is my favorite song. Wish it was a regular track so everyone could here it.
This is 7 minutes of pure, passionate, soulful Taylor.
You can almost hear his heart bleed when he sings "take them home, home, home

  8. The part where he wails "home" really got me last night. I can hear his longing. The emotion is so real.

  10. His passion comes through with every word. I thought back to what he said in HFOS about finding places to stay (with friends etc.) when things were rough at home. I love this music so much.

  11. YOU ALL SUCK.

I don't mean that of course! I've just been WAY to freakin busy to buy the cd... and now that I hear that theres something really good on the album, im about to quit my job to go get it.

Ugh... I would get it right after work, but I have a chiropractor appointment, and then a doctor's appointment, and then a meeting with my manager, and then I have to be home to make dinner, and by then I'll be too tired.

    Ok, I quit.

  13. This song is the best I've heard from Taylor in a long time. So much emotion in his voice, finally captured in a studio.
