Taylor Hicks T-Shirts

Taylor Hicks merchandise has been for sale on the Grease tour at the theater and at the clubs where we're all getting intimate with him. I realize the new T-shirts were produced quickly. Under the circumstances, they're fine. The problem is I don't want to wear any of them:

When you're a grown woman who dresses like she's twelve, it's hard to feel cute in a big ole T-shirt. I need a shirt that shows off my boyish figure. Something that screams, "That's right, I'm old enough to be your Mom, but I'm in denial!" Something fitted, feminine and far too young for me. (Don't judge me!)

Joking aside, wouldn't you like to see something at the old merch table that makes you look like a woman? T-shirts that people actually wear are free advertising, let's not forget. Here are some quicky suggestions I whipped up:

More ideas here.

  1. Amen, Caryl. I will admit to owning a lavender Taylor Hicks tour tshirt, never worn, bought in a drunken stupor in New Orleans. I was feeling the music that night!! hahaha

  2. I have the butterfly tank. I think it was a gift from an admirer; but I will say, it makes me feel, it makes me feel, it makes me feel like a natural woooo-man.
    LOL!

  3. I never bought the butterfly Ts because I did not think lavender or butterflies said "TAYLOR". I like the shirts with a harmonica on them but crew neck Ts do nothing to flatter a woman. I really like your designs caryl and would buy the gray shirt that simply has his name across the front. The issue is, I have large boobies and do not like to wear really tight shirts...unusual I know! I guess you have the opposite problem?
    Hahaha!

  4. I can't relate to the big boobage problem- sounds like you don't need a special shirt to make you look like a woman. haha!

  5. Caryl, I agree just couldn't at my age wear any tee shirt like that, boradcasting anyone. They are very pretty, but for a much younger person than me. My daughter for Christmas was going to buy me a Taylor tee shirt she saw on line and asked me if it would be something I would like, and very nicely told her no, I wouldn't wear a shirt like that.

  6. I agree with you Caryl. The NESP had a nice woman's tee that they all wore to the Big E in Springfield during T's summer tour(and it even came in sizes for everyone). Hopefully, someone involved with the merch will see this! I like the first design, but prefer the short sleeve shirt. No one wants to see my upper arm anymore, not even me!

  7. Is it wrong that I sleep in MY Taylor T-shirt (the one with him peeking over his guitar) and my husband doesn't seem to mind...

  8. I wore the one I bought at a concert to a casino later that night and got lots of comments. I also wore it to several informal gatherings where folks knew I was a Taylor fan. It's easier for me as I have the excuse, I'm old. I may even buy one of the new ones. JOJOSIE

  9. Your two shirts are cute. Although I don't mind regular tee shirts, I do not like the new ones. I bought the black tee shirt with the badge on front and says Taylor Hicks and has the tour stops on the back from his first tour. I also have the white tank top with the orange butterflies.

I'm a jeans and tee shirt person for everyday wear.

  10. I DON'T KNOW who designed Taylor official shirts but they were stuck in the 1950's. LOL. Anything would be better!!!!! Personally I think a hot black and white picture of him with his name is what I would want.

  11. I'm not doing a blog post about this (enough people are covering it), but I wanted to pass on the link if you want to listen to the new album, "The Distance."

  12. oh wow... I read the post today, and guess what I'm wearing? Yeah, I'm gonna go home and change. Lol, its just too ironic! I do love the idea of some tank tops and fitted shirts though! My boobs have gotten to big for the standard t-shirt lately, and its really irritating.

  15. Cute T-shirt designs, caryl! I have too many of the Taylor tour shirts that I never wear. (I actually wore the black and white one of him peering over his guitar at Halloween and people kept asking me who it was...) I do not like any of his latest ones. Well, maybe the Grease one. I'll probably (compulsively) buy it when I see him in Tampa! ;-) But a more feminine one would be much appreciated...

  17. The 'official' Taylor tees are massive Fail. Ugly and not at all attractive. I guess you can surmise I've never bought a Taylor T. hahaha Grey, so far I have not been that drunk.

Caryl you have had some great ideas.

  19. You know, that side panel thing just came up us a "gadget" to add here at blogspot. I didn't even know it was going to include the latest post on every site. Yeah, I like it a lot.
